Sex is just as good if your penis is circumcised

Uncircumcised vs Circumcised: Pros and Cons
Is there really a difference?
The main difference between a circumcised (cut) and uncircumcised (uncut) penis is the presence of foreskin around the head of the penis. Although it really comes down to personal preference, the presence or lack thereof — of foreskin does have some impact on your hygiene and overall health.

Does it affect penis size?
Uncircumcised (Uncut): A foreskin can make your penis look slightly bulkier when it’s flaccid. During an erection, the foreskin retracts and almost disappears, so it won’t affect how big your penis looks when it’s erect.
Circumcised (Cut): Your penis size is based on your genes, environment, and overall health. All determine the phenotype, or physical expression, of your penis. Penis size is also based on blood flow to the penile tissues. Removing a layer of skin tissue — the foreskin — doesn’t have any impact on other penile tissues or how big your penis appears when erect. However, it may have slightly less “bulk” when it’s flaccid
Does it affect your health?
Uncircumcised: Men who are uncircumcised can retain moisture between their penis and foreskin. This creates the ideal environment for bacteria to grow, and can increase the risk of infection not only for men, but for their sexual partners.
Circumcised: Circumcision on the other hand reduces the risk of developing a urinary tract infection(UTI), which include infections of any part of the urinary system, such as the bladder. Not only this but some research suggests that circumcision is effective in reducing STD transmission rates, including HIV, herpes and genital ulcers. It has even been thought to lower the risk of prostate cancer.
Does it affect penis size?
Uncircumcised: penis might look bigger due to addition of the foreskin when it is flaccid. However, the foreskin does not affect the size when the penis is erect.
Circumcised: Circumcision slightly affects penis size because it results in a loss of about 30%-50% of the penile skin. So, when the penis is flaccid, it will appear thinner and shorter because the foreskin would have overhung around it.
Impact of hygiene
Uncircumcised: Smegma is a natural lubricant that keeps the penis moist. It is found on the head of the penis and under the foreskin. If it builds up, it can become a breeding ground for bacteria leading to balanitis. Therefore, . If underneath of the foreskin is not properly or correctly cleaned, smegma may gather. Simply pull the foreskin back away from the end of the penis as far as is comfortable, wash the head of the penis and the inside fold of the foreskin and rinse well with water.
Circumcised: Circumcision makes it easier to keep the end of the penis clean. A circumcised penis can be cleaned gently with warm water.
Does it affect your risk of infection?
Uncircumcised: uncircumcised penis is prone to certain infections including those that are sexually transmitted. Accumulation of smegma beneath the foreskin can also lead to bacteria build up. The risk of urinary infections in the first year is low, but these infections may be up much more times as common in uncircumcised baby boys. Good hygiene should be practiced.
Circumcised: Circumcision may be used to treat pathological phimosis and chronic or recurrent urinary tract infections. The World Health Organization promotes circumcision to prevent female-to-male HIV transmission in countries where HIV is common. The finding that circumcision significantly reduces female-to-male transmission has prompted medical organizations to promote circumcision as long as the program includes informed consent, confidentiality and absence of coercion.
Does it affect sexual performance?
Uncircumcised: it does not have an exact effect on sexual performance. It provides some perks like lubrication for instance. It has also been said that an uncircumcised penis still has its “fine-touch neuroreceptors”. Study shows that the uncircumcised penis is much glossier and has a velvety feel. So for women who aren’t lubricating well, there is less discomfort.
Circumcised: The highest quality evidence indicates that circumcision does not decrease the sensitivity of the penis, harm sexual function or reduce sexual satisfaction. It also does not appear to adversely affect sexual desire, pain with intercourse, premature ejaculation, time with ejaculation, erectile dysfunction or difficulties with orgasm.
General appearance
Uncircumcised:The penis still has a layer of skin protection over the head (glans). This layer is called the “foreskin” or “prepuce”. At birth, the foreskin is still attached to the head of the penis. Eventually, the foreskin begins to separate naturally from the head of the penis (retract).
Circumcised: The foreskin has been removed which exposes the glans whether there is an erection or not.
Does it affect fertility?
Uncircumcised:In cases where the foreskin is too tight around the penis head, infertility can occur. The foreskin can be removed eliminating the key factor contributing to infertility. Although, uncircumcision has no effect on sperm production.
Circumcised: It has been concluded that circumcision can help with infertility in males suffering from two specific diseases; phimosis and balanitis. They can both be cured by having the penis circumcised.

Circumcision is removal of the foreskin that covers the tip of the penis, and it is one of the oldest surgical procedures in existence.

What do I need to know about a circumcision?
Circumcision is a procedure to remove the foreskin from your penis. The foreskin is the fold of skin that covers the tio of the penis.

What will happen during the procedure?

A doctor will give you a shot of numbing medicine at the base of your penis. The medicine will keep you from feeling pain during your procedure but you will be awake. You may instead be given general anesthesia to keep you asleep and pain-free during the procedure.
The doctor will make an incision and cut away the foreskin. The edges of the skin will be closed with stitches that will dissolve. Petroleum jelly and a dressing will be placed on the area.
Adult Circumcision
Some men may choose to get circumcised because they think that a circumcised penis will be more sensitive and enhance their sexual experience. Here are some medical reasons why a man might choose to get circumcised:
  • Phimosis. This is a medical condition in which the foreskin covering the penis is too tight and is hard to retract.
  • Penile cancer. Although rare, penile cancer is less common in a circumcised penis.
  • Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Risks for genital ulcers, chlamydia, human papillomavirus (HPV), syphilis, and type 2 herpes have been shown to be lower in men who have circumcised penises.
  • HIV transmission. Several international studies show that circumcision lowers the risk of HIV transmission. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that men consider circumcision as an additional measure, along with safe sex, to prevent HIV.
  • Paraphimosis: the foreskin is drawn behind the tip and can’t be moved back over the tip of the penis. Paraphimosis is caused by repeated inflammation of the foreskin. Here also, apart from circumcision, a simple incision is often a possibility, which widens the foreskin.
  • Balanitis: repeated inflammation of the tip of the penis and the foreskin.

Circumcision: aesthetic / sexual reasons
  • Enhanced appearance: some men, but also women, find a circumcised penis more attractive. For gentlemen who choose for a circumcision on these aesthetic grounds, hygienic and sexual reasons also often play a part.
  • Hygienic: a circumcised penis produces very little or no smegma and is therefore much easier to keep clean.
  • Sexual experience: although studies claim that a short foreskin has no effect on sexual experience, most men say that the tip of the penis becomes considerably less sensitive. This can have advantages for the sex life.
  • Premature ejaculation: circumcision offers no guarantee, but a less sensitive tip of the penis sometimes helps solve this problem.
  • Longer sex: a less sensitive tip may allow longer lasting sex.
  • Excessively long foreskin: an excessively long foreskin can lead to reduced stimulation of the tip of the penis during sexual intercourse.
Circumcision: the treatment
Circumcision is normally performed using intravenous sedation. You will be given local or general anesthesia.
During the procedure the foreskin is shortened considerably and leaves the tip of the penis half or even fully exposed.
Circumcision (removal of the foreskin) takes a half an hour to perform.
Swelling goes down after about two weeks, but you may be instructed to avoid intercourse and masturbation for up to six weeks.

Insurance Guidelines

Are the costs of Circumcision Procedure operation covered by Insurance?
We accept a variety of insurance carriers and plans. You may submit information regarding your insurance carrier to our Patient/Insurance coordinator department. Our staff without cost to you will verify your insurance coverage and determine if your insurance covers the procedure.

The Week Before Your Procedure

Starting seven days before the procedure, you must entirely avoid taking any aspirin, NSAIDs, fish oil, or other anti-inflammatory medication. These thin the blood somewhat and increase the risk of bleeding. You can still take other pain relief medication like Tylenol.

You must entirely avoid aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs such as Ibuprofen, Motrin, Aleve, Advil, Naproxen, Diclofenac, and others because they may thin the blood and cause unnecessary bleeding.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) is acceptable because it does not impact your risk of bleeding during and after surgery. Don’t take aspirin and the other anti-inflammatories for your own safety.

The doctor may not perform your procedure if you have taken these drugs recently. If you have a medical requirement to do so, please discuss with Dr. prior to your appointment.

Preparing for Your Circumcision

Take it easy the night before your procedure. Do your best to have a good sleep the night before and follow your normal breakfast routine (except for minimizing coffee) so that you will feel your normal self. Some patients find it stressful to skip coffee, so if you are one of those people who really needs his coffee in the morning  – maybe just have one cup.

The goal is to minimize your stress, so have a cup of coffee if skipping it is will cause distress. If you have taken the prescribed Valium, you must have someone come with you to drive you home as well. Valium can slow your reaction time, thus it would be dangerous to drive yourself.

The morning of your circumcision it is best if you are both physically and mentally calm. You may bring your headphones and listen to your favorite relaxing music on your phone or other small music player during the surgery, if you wish.
